So far I am really loving the zauberballl yarn. I finally got to the point when the color magic started really showing…. right around time for the heel of course. So I got to wind up my whole ball to get at the center so I could make the heel with another strand. Turns out the color I needed was very close to the end of the ball so I decided to line up all the colors nicely. I’m very happy with how the pattern is turning out. Because of the strong lines I went with a flap heel and simply could not resist making the pattern flow over the heel:
This sock is making me happy so it is flying off the needles. Hopefully I’ll be able to work out the colors this nicely for the second sock! I’ll know better when I get to the end of the first and see how much spare yarn I have…

I love the pattern and how the color worked! Now, the question is: will the second sock make you just as happy? 😀

I’m worried no… I’m taking up more yarn than I’d have liked and doubt I can make the heel colors come out so perfect on the second sock. 😛 I’ve got #1 done now and I do have enough yarn for the second and there’s a slight hope I’ll be able to make the heel match up by sheer dumb luck, but I won’t have enough yarn to really match it up intentionally. If there’s only one sock in the official pattern photos you’ll know why 😛 But the STITCHES are moving just like they are supposed to and the flap heel came out looking SO COOL with the Buttress cables going up the sides…

I’m making a pair of socks with Zauberball Crazy right now (toe up) and really like how you got the color stripes to flow. Mine did not flow smoothly over the heel (reverse Dutch). Of course, my yarn doesn’t have any repeats of the striping pattern that I have been able to distinguish, so I’m resigned.
I didn’t see a Clocktower or a Clock Tower pattern on Ravelry when I did a search just now.
